Xiaomi Malaysia teased a new Redmi phone, could be Redmi 9T

A couple of weeks ago we saw Xiaomi launched its Redmi 9 Power smartphones in India. This smartphone is a rebranding of Redmi Note 9 4G. It comes with  Android 10 based MIUI 12, powered by an Octa-Core processor, and packs a big battery life.

Meanwhile now, the company in Malaysia has teased a new Redmi smartphone. The teaser suggested that the upcoming smartphone is Redmi XX and the image shows that the phone will feature a quad-camera setup.

The camera design of the smartphone is similar to the Redmi Note 9 4G China version. Therefore, we can expect that this is the Redmi 9T which a rebranding of Redmi Note 9 4G and Redmi 9 Power.

The teaser did not reveal more, therefore for more details, we’ll have to wait for more news or leaks. Besides this, the Redmi 9T recently passed the NBTC certificate in Thailand which indicates that the phone is launching soon.

Other than this, as the upcoming Redmi 9T is a rebranding of Redmi Note 9 4G and Redmi 9 Power, we can expect it to have almost similar features and specs. The Redmi 9T should come with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS display, a Snapdragon 662 processor, and a large 6,000mAh battery.

Its quad-camera setup may include a 48MP Primary Camera, 8MP Ultra-Wide angle sensor, 2MP Depth sensor, and another 2MP Macro sensor. On the other hand, it could feature an 8MP front-facing camera.
