At present, the device has appeared in the Geekbench running points. It is equipped with 8GB of memory. It is rather surprising that it is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, not the latest Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1. The Sony Xperia 5 IV has been certified by the FCC, and the certification information shows that the new device has a height of 155.74 mm and a width of 67.1 mm.

That’s a bit shorter and narrower than last year’s Xperia 5 III, which was 157mm and 68mm, respectively, so the new phone will be more compact. Additionally, the Xperia 5 IV’s screen is listed as 153.5mm diagonally, which is exactly 6.04 inches, slightly shorter than the Xperia 5 III’s 6.1-inch panel.

Additionally, the Xperia 5 IV will feature a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The list also confirms that the new phone supports NFC and wireless charging, the latter of which was not supported on the previous three Xperia 5 models. The Sony Xperia 5 IV will also support Wi-Fi 6 and RFID smart cards, the latter of which is widely used in Japan.
