Xiaomi India has recently made an announcement of leadership changes to the Indian market for the next phase of growth. Today, the company has made a change in the leadership of its sub-brand POCO.
Xiaomi Indis has appointed the new head of POCO’s India operations, the Himanshu Tandon, who played a significant role in the POCO India as Head of Sales.
POCO said Himanshu Tandon was one of the founding members of the POCO company and has been instrumental in the expansion of the Indian company. Also, before joining POCO, he worked at Videocon Mobiles as a senior manager in charge of regional business and corporate strategy.
Furthermore, When he was working as a project manager for Xiaomi, he opened 505 outlets in a single day. That moment is most important for the company because of the Guinness World Record for the most stores opened in one day by the Tandon.
Also, POCO India shares a statement on Twitter, announcing that Himanshu Tandon will now be the lead in POCO India. Now Tandon replaces the Anuj Sharma, who is now heading to the parent company Xiaomi as a chief marketing officer of the India region.
Moreover, the statement mentioned that it would focus on expanding its service center and after-sales support in India. The company will be opening over 2,000 new service centers across the country.
