Android 13 Earthquake Warning Feature
The earthquake warning feature of Android 13 for Xiaomi and some other mobile phones is not new at all. According to the latest information, the feature will pop up the notification on seismic activity in Indonesia which will result in earthquakes. The location and magnitude of the activity will aware users avoid and escape the previously mentioned earthquakes.
Google has also implemented several executions, the first part to be done by the smartphone itself. The built-in accelerometers will play a significant part. If the phone detects an earthquake, it will signal to Google’s earthquake detection service, which will disclose the possible location.
Various information will be collected by the server to determine whether an earthquake will occur or not. It will also tell users how big it will be and how destructive it can be. After reviewing all collected data, an alert will be sent to all users.
Xiaomi’s plan appears to be more grown-up, as it will be able to dial emergency numbers and guide the user accordingly. Let’s see how much time it will take to reach globally before users can test it and check how reliable this feature is.
