Xiaomi has started pushing a new firmware update for Redmi 9 Prime smartphones users in India. More regions are expected to roll out in a few days or weeks. This update mainly brings the April 2022 security patch update.
The software update for Redmi 9 Prime is identified via build number V12.5.4.0.RJCINXM. If users didn’t get the OTA update yet, then attempt to download a package of about 2.2 GB manually via the below link.
As usual, the security patch updates to improve the system security. However, the official changelog doesn’t mention any new features and improvements. Below you check the download link and changelog to this update.
If you’re a Redmi 9 Prime user, you might have already received a notification of the latest April 2022 security patch. If you haven’t gotten it yet, you can check for the new update by going to Settings >>MIUI version and clicking on Download and install.
