Xiaomi will launch second generation OLED TV on August 10

Xiaomi has recently announced the launch date for its first under-screen camera smartphone, Mi Mix 4, which is August 10. However, we know that Mix 4 will not enter the markets alone.

The company has just declared that it will also be launching second-generation OLED TVs at the event. According to the official introduction, this generation of televisions will come with improved picture quality.

Well, the specifications and other details about the new product are still under wraps. We expect that the executives will unveil the details as soon as the launch date comes near.

Last year in June Xioami uncovered its first OLED smart TV with the Mi TV Master branding at a price of 12,999 yuan ($2,011). However, the TV got a price pull-down and is now available at 9,999 yuan ($1,546) in its home country.

This TV features a 10-bit 65-inch 4K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, MEMC, peak brightness of 1000 nits, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. It is powered by a MediaTek MTK9650 SoC with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU. The chipset is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.

As for software, it runs MIUI for TV along with Patchwall content aggregation service. Whereas for audio, the OLED TV comes with a 65W in-built speaker system, which includes 2 × 12.5W left/right channels, 2 × 10W surround channels, and a 20W 50Hz ultra-low frequency subwoofer.

Also, it supports all the popular audio formats such as DTS Audio, Dolby Audio, and Dolby Atmos 2.1.2. It also features a 4-mic array for XiaoAI voice assistant. When we talk about its connectivity, it has dual-band WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 along with ports such as 3 x HMDI, 2 X USB,  S/PDIF, optical, ethernet, and antenna.
