Xiaomi Mi HyperSonic Power Bank with 50W fast charging support launched in India

Today (July 30, 2021), Xiaomi officially launched a new power bank in India. The company uncovered Mi HyperSonic Power Bank, which is currently Xiaomi’s most powerful and feature-rich power bank in the country.

The device comes with a 20,000mAh battery and offers 50W super-fast charging. Also, it is capable to charge multiple products at the same time as it features triple ports for charging smartphones, laptops, etc.

Design

The new Mi power bank sports a matte black finish and is made from high-quality PC + ABS material. Thus, it is lightweight and durable for all types of usage, as claimed by the company.

USB Ports

The product has a total of three ports, which include a USB Type C along with two USB Type-A ports.

Battery life

As mentioned above, the 50W fast charging capacity is its key highlight, the tech calls it HyperFast 50W charging. It can fully charge a smartphone with a 4,500mAh battery in just an hour and 5 minutes. Also, this makes the power bank fast charge laptops at 45W (PD3.0).

Moreover, the 45W charging from the USB Type C port would also reduce the time to charge devices. It should also be mentioned that the power bank can be fully charged in just 3 hours and 50 minutes for its 20,000mAh battery capacity.

The Mi Hypersonic power bank features a low-power charging mode for devices with low-power output such as Bluetooth headsets, fitness bands, smartwatches, etc. This mode can be activated for the safe charging of such devices by double-tapping the power button.

How safe is Mi Power Bank?

The manufacturers have put importance on quality and ensuring the safety of their customers. The Mi HyperSonic Power Bank is equipped with 16 layers of advanced chip protection, which makes it capable of safeguarding itself and the devices it is charging from short-circuiting as well.

Availability

The power bank is currently being crowdfunded on the Mi India website, with a goal of 2500 units to sell in the next 15 days. Once the goal is achieved, the new Mi Hypersonic power bank will start shipping from September 15.

Price

The device has been launched at a price of Rs 3,499 and will be available starting today (July 30, 2021) on the Mi India website.
