Xiaomi releases MIUI 12.5 update for Mi CC 9 smartphones

Xiaomi is rolling out the MIUI 12.5 update for Mi CC 9 smartphones in China. The new update comes with an array of new features, functions, sounds, wallpapers, themes, updated apps, and much more. Also, it makes the system work faster, lighter, and durable.

As per the changelog, it brings a new UI design, which is focused on visualization and makes your interaction with the device more lifelike. It the updated notes app, it adds compose mind maps with complex structures, new sketching tools, press and hold sketch function, gesture shortcuts, and more.

Besides the Notes app, the Floating window can be now quickly replaced with fullscreen versions of the apps, images can quickly be converted to PDF, and the password manager allows you to store passwords in the cloud.

The firmware further adds a more convenient way to move a cursor using the scrollbar, function buttons support switching between languages and keyboards, press and hold the function buttons to access more features, custom themes for keyboards. font-weight adjustment options for third-party fonts, and more.

Adding to all these, the MIUI 12.5 optimizes personalization features for system wallpapers, animations, and sounds. The redesigned Incognito mode and page loading speed has been optimized as well.
