Back in July 2019, Xiaomi in collaboration with Meitu officially launched the Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. The smartphone is identical to the regular CC9 but features some camera tweaks courtesy of the Meitu team.
When we talk about its software, it runs Android 9 Pie on top of MIUI 10 skin. It has been previously updated to Android 11 based MIUI 12 OS and now it is getting MIUI 12.5 update in its home country.

However, the official changelog for the update doesn’t mention any new features or major changes but it only mentions the reduction of system lag and system stability improvements.
Although we already know that MIUI 12.5 comes with a handful of new features and functions. It brings new UI, system sounds, wallpapers, super wallpapers, new tools, and much more. In addition, it also updates some system applications for a better user experience.
Update Version:
Identified via the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 build version V12.5.3.0.RFECNXM, the update weighs 2.6GB. It should be noted that the phone is exclusive to China, thus, the update is limited to China ROM.
