Xiaomi is sending a new software update for Redmi 8A Dual smartphones in India. The new update for the device comes with optimized system performance. It further improves the security and stability of the device’s system so that users can have a better experience in operating their phones.
Moreover, the fresh firmware for the device can be identified via the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.4.0.QCQINXM. And to experience this, users will have to download and install the package of 2.4GB on their smartphones.

Redmi 8A Dual was launched in February 2020 with some of the latest and advanced features of its age. In terms of software, it entered the smartphone markets with pre-installed Android 9 based MIUI 11 OS.
Later, it received a few major updates and is currently running on Android 10 based MIUI 12 operating system. Right now, Android 11 is the latest OS offering by the OEM.
However, it’s been already confirmed that Redmi 8A Dual will not get an Android 11 update. But the phone is expected to get MIUI 12.5 as the OEM said older devices will also be upgraded.
