Upcoming POCO wireless earphones complete BIS certification, India launch expected soon

A recent report claims that Xiaomi Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro that was launched in India in late February has now listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database. But with Poco branding.

The accessory is listed with the model number LYXQEJ05WM. This is identical to the model number of Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro. These two products were even certified on the same day (March 1).

Moreover, if the upcoming Poco earphones are the rebranded version of Mi Neckband Bluetooth Pro, then they will have the same features and specifications.

Mi neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro Specifications

The Mi Neckband uses Bluetooth 5.0 to connect to devices. And, its Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) helps suppress surrounding noise by up to 25dB. On the audio side, they have dual microphones for Environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for calls that suppress the environmental noise by up to 90% for crystal clear voice calls.

They feature Voice Assistance, Volume/music control, and Multifunction Button to answer/reject calls. Adding to this, the product is IPX5-certified for splash resistance.

Last but not least, the 150mAh battery of the earphones offers up to 20 hours of playback at 50% volume, up to 200h standby. It needs a micro USB charging cable to charge.

Price

Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro comes in Black and Blue color and is priced at Rs. 1,799. However, we can expect different color for Poco Neckband and a cheaper price.

Poco Pop Buds

Xiaomi is known for a wide variety of products other than smartphones, Redmi isn’t different. The Redmi brand also has a wide range of electronic products wheater it is earbuds, tv, or other accessories as well as gadgets.

Meanwhile, the Poco brand is still only limited to smartphones. However, last year, there were reports that Poco is planning to release a pair of truly wireless earphones (aka TWS) called Poco Pop Buds. But that product is yet to make its debut.

Recently, it was reported that the Poco Pop buds will be the rebranding of the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro, launched later in May in China. Read More here.
