MIUI Tip: How to make Xiaomi smartphone photos take less storage space

Filling the internal storage of smartphones isn’t a big task. Our smartphones usually started running out of space very soon. It because of the large size of pictures, videos, documents, and other files.

Well, we can clear up space by deleting these files but sometimes we don’t want to delete any of them. In this case, Xiaomi offers us a functionally called HEIF image format, by using this we can easily save our files in less space.

In addition to having a higher compression than other formats such as JPG or PNG, one manages to maintain very good image quality, while providing greater editing flexibility, similar to the RAW format.

If we activate the RAW format in our Xiaomi’s camera, we will get that the resulting photos occupy less than half the space as if we had saved them in other traditional formats such as JPG or JPEG.
