Xiaomi’s invisible selfie camera phone with AMOLED display coming soon!

Back in September last year, with the launch of Axon 20, ZTE become the first smartphone brand to equip under screen/display camera technology. Soon after its release, Xiaomi also announced that it will be brings an UDC smartphone in 2021. Now it seems that the day for its launch is not so far.

In the last few months we have heard several news and rumors about the upcoming device. Among them a report reveals that the screen supplier of Xiaomi UDC phone will be China Star Optoelectronics, a subsidiary of TCL, the R&D strength of Huaxing Optoelectronics is evident.

Meanwhile now, a well-known tipster, DigitalChatStation has exposed that Huaxing’s new under-screen solution will be shipped soon. It is based on the technology upgrade of the under-screen prototype used by Xiaomi last year.

He says that the phone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, hyperboloid design. However, the specific manufacturer is unknown as many manufactures aims to introduce UDC smartphone this year.

Along with this, the tipster also indicates that a series of new Xiaomi products will arrive in the third quarter, some of them could be seen in July.

Besides, some report claims that Xiaomi UDC smartphone will be known as Mi Mix 4 while some says that it will be another variant of recently launched Mi Mix Fold. The only thing we know is that the OEM is working on two flagship phones – K8 and J18s.

These products will be the first Xiaomi devices equipped with under-display camera technology. Among them, the K8 is expected to receive a classic monoblock form factor with a subscreen selfie camera.
