Latest MIUI 12.5 beta update adds multiple image zoom modes and more

In the past few weeks, the Chinese OEM has sent a stable MIUI 12.5 update for its devices. The company has already completed the first phase and started the second phase rollout in its home country. However, the official hasn’t notified about the global release.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi continues to send beta updates for other eligible phones of the brand. Right now, the tech giant has begun sending a new MIUI 12.5 beta update which carries the built version 21.4.28.

As per the changelog, it adds new functions such as – users can now call the camera to complete shooting and video recording in the quick app. It further adds multiple image zoom modes to optimize the image display effect.

Adding to this, it optimizes the display effect of the quick app at the startup stage to enhance the user experience. To get more information regarding the update, do check the changelog below.

Other than this, for a relatively better test version experience for Xiaomi users, the recent release plan is as follows.

April 26-April 30, 2021: The development version internal test and the development version public test are normally released.

From May 3 to May 7, 2021: The development version internal test and the development version public test are suspended.

From May 10, 2021: The development version internal test, the development version public test resume release.

In order to give Mi Fan friends a relatively better test version experience, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30i 5G, Redmi K40 Pro will give out test results later. And, due to the problem of being unavailable in certain scenarios, the release of Mi 9 and Redmi K20 Pro is suspended today.
