Xiaomi reportedly deleting WiFi module related complaints of Mi 11 users

Back in December last year, Xiaomi first launched the Mi 11 smartphone in China. Later, the company introduced it in global and other markets. Xiaomi Mi 11 is one of the high-end flagships of Xiaomi, it came with a bunch of unexpected and most advanced features.

But some users have complained that their WiFi module stopped working for no reason. The issue apparently affects not just one but a large number of users. Whereas there are several others who say their Mi 11 Wifi module works fine.

The Mi 11 is the world’s first phone to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is one of the most superior chipsets. Still, there have been complaints of excessive hotness sometimes, high power consumption, and lower battery life.

The different user explains the different reason as to why the issue occurred. A widely held view is that it is caused by serious flaws in the motherboard design. While some believe it is a production defect.

Others say the motherboard may have been affected by the overheating issue which may have soldered the WiFi module to the motherboard. Whereas a tech geek said that chips are soldered using a high-temperature tin with a melting point close to 300 degrees.

Well, the CPU heats up to more than 100 degrees during extreme use, it is unlikely to cause false soldering. And, the WiFi and Bluetooth modules are integrated on the same chip, so, if this chip is burned it should affect both the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity instead of just the WiFi.

Therefore, it could be a production issue affecting a certain batch of the Mi 11 and if it is really a design issue, Xiaomi may need to recall the batch. Aside from this, as per some reports, the posts with contents relating to this issue on the official Xiaomi community are deleting or blacklisting by the moderators.

This step by Xiaomi will not solve the problem. We expect Xiaomi to come out with an official statement instead of trying to silence complainants.
