Launched back in June 2020, Xiaomi’s Redmi 9A entered the smartphone market with a pre-installed Android 10 based MIUI 12 operating system. However, the phone is still running on Android 10 but it is eligible for Android 11.
Aside from Android 11, the OEM has recently begun sending the stable MIUI 12.5 update in China. The company has already completed its first phase and will start the second phase by the end of this month. However, the Redmi 9A is not eligible for the send phase but is eligible for stable MIUI 12.5 and will soon receive the update.

Right now, the phone is receiving a new software update, which mainly installs the March 2021 Android security patch. This security update will save your device from bugs and viruses and will improve the security of your device’s system.
