After sending the latest March 2021 Android security patch for several Redmi, Mi, and Poco devices, Xiaomi has begun sending it for Redmi Note 9 smartphones. The new firmware is currently rolling out in Russia whereas it may soon be expanded to other region users.

Moreover, the new firmware for Redmi Note 9 comes with the Android 10 based MIUI 12 built version V12.0.6.0.QJORUXM. Also, it weighs 2.1GB, therefore, users will need to download the package of 2.1GB on their smartphones to experience improved security.
