Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will be the first smartphone to use Samsung’s ISOCELL GN2 camera sensor

Xiaomi is set to launch Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra, the new members of its high-end flagship series Mi 11 on March 29. With each passing day, we are getting more and more information about smartphones, some are leaked while others are official.

The company has been continuously teasing the phones, and with each teaser, they are revealing a new feature of Mi 11 Pro or Ultra. The last teaser poster reveals that in Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi have focused more on the Cameras.

Meanwhile, as per the new poster, Mi 11 Ultra will use the world’s first Samsung ISOCELL GN2 CMOS, with a 1/1.12″ inch ultra-outsole. The company has mentioned that this is a result of 18 months of corporation between Xiaomi and Samsung ISOCELL.

Moreover, with this technology, each pixel of 50MP reaches 1.4μm, which is an unprecedented 2.8μm after fusion. The world premiere Dual PD Pro, full pixel omnidirectional 8-core focusing.

However, later in February this year, Samsung has introduced its second-generation 50 mega-pixels ISOCELL GN2 image sensor. And, soon after its release, a known tipster – Ice Universe has revealed that the upcoming Mi 11 Ultra will equip it. At that time we were not sure that the news is correct but we are now.

Moving forward, the new ISOCELL GN2 image sensor technology delivers up to 100-megapixel imaging, powerful staggered HDR, improved auto-focusing through Dual Pixel Pro technology, and vivid results through Smart ISO Pro.

Other than this, the Mi 11 Ultra uses a triple rear camera setup. Its specific back lens parameters are a 50MP main camera, a 48MP wide-angle camera, and a 48MP zoom lens. Although, the tech giant did not say how many megapixels cameras would be in the phone.
