Xiaomi is expanding the January 2021 Android security patch for Redmi 8 smartphones in India. This security patch brings several optimizations, new functions, and fixes for a better user experience.
It holds the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.1.0.QCNINXM, which can be download in 2.1GB.

Xiaomi has begun sending the MIUI 12 update for Redmi 8 devices in China. This MIUI 12 update for Redmi 8 smartphones installs the latest security patch for the month of January which enhances the system security. A bunch of new features, optimizations, and fixes have also been added to the system.
As per the official changelog, the update optimizes the system, animations in selected scenes, dark mode, Control center layout in the landscape mode, and more.
Adding to this, it fixes the issue by which the notification shade wasn’t displayed correctly in Dark Mode and Control center wasn’t always displayed correctly in landscape mode.
MIUI 12 update for Redmi 8 comes with software version V12.0.1.0.QCNCNXMand weighs 2.3GB. Below you can check the download link and changelog of this update.
