Xiaomi is expanding the newest software update for Redmi 8 smartphones in Europe. This update installs the December 2020 Android security patch for the system’s security enhancement.
And for a better user experience, it brings multiple numbers of optimizations, fixes, and new functions in system animations, dark mode, control center, and more.

Back in 2019, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi unveiled Redmi 8 smartphone which is powered by Snapdragon 439 SoC. It comes with a 6.22-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, quad-camera setup, 5000mAh battery, and more.
Now, Xiaomi is rolling out a new software update for Redmi 8 in Russia. The update installs December 2020 Andriod security patch to enhance the system security and stability of the phone.
According to the changelog, this update added new shortcuts to open the Control center and Notification shade. It optimizes the Control center layout in landscape mode.
Apart from this, it also optimizes Full-screen gestures on the Lock screen alarm page, animations in selected scenes, brightness and color of the dark mode, and more.
