Xiaomi has recently released the first Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 closed beta update for Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphones in China. Now the company is sending the first Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 build for the Redmi Note 8 Pro in China.
A few days ago, the company started beta registration for Android 11 updates for Redmi Note 8 Pro. The users who have participated in this are now getting MIUI 12.5.5 closed beta updates.
The new update releasing with the MIUI 12.5 beta 21.1.11. These builds come weekly and we do not suggest users to flash these updates on the primary device.
Also, this is an incremental rollout. It may not be available for all users now but will be soon followed by all in the coming days/hours. Follow “Settings > About Phone > Software Update” to check whether the update is available for your handset or not.

Before you download the update:
- This update will not harm your files but make sure to backup your data just to be on the safe side if any incident happens.
- Must-Have the bootloader unlocked.
- USB Debugging must be enabled.
- Make sure that the device has more than 50% battery percentage.

How to Install Closed Beta ROM:
- Download the firmware file and save that to your device
- Now connect your Xiaomi device to the PC
- Transfer the ROM file to the root directory of your device’s storage.
- Now go to the Updater Application.
- Then Click the three-dot menu at the top right corner, and Choose update package
- Next, Choose the downloaded ROM file you have transferred
- The Update process will start automatically
- Once the installation is completed reboot your device
- Done!!! Now your Xiaomi should have the latest official stable MIUI ROM.
