According to people familiar with the matter, Xiaomi Auto has finalized two main battery suppliers, namely Ningde Times and BYD’s Fudi Battery. These two battery companies are also the leading battery manufacturers in the domestic new energy field.
Lei Jun previously said that Xiaomi’s first car will be delivered in the first half of 2024. According to reports, Xiaomi’s first car is planned to have two configurations, high and low. The low-profile models plan to use a 400V voltage platform, and the high-profile models plan to use an 800V voltage platform.

The low-profile models will be equipped with Ford’s lithium iron phosphate blade battery, while the high-profile models will be equipped with Ferdi’s lithium iron phosphate blade batteries. It will be equipped with a Ningde-era Kirin battery.
Lei Jun also said at the investor day that the progress of Xiaomi’s car manufacturing and team’s work has far exceeded his expectations, and it is expected that Xiaomi’s car will be officially mass-produced in the first half of 2024.

CATL officially released the CTP3.0 Kirin battery in June this year. System integration has reached a new high in the world. The volume utilization rate has exceeded 72%. Launched in mass production.
At present, in addition to Lotus, Lili and Nezha have also become “partners” of Kirin batteries. According to previous information, the Kirin battery can support a 5-minute fast hot start and a 10-minute fast charge. Under the same chemical system and the same battery pack size, the power of the Kirin battery pack is 13% higher than that of the 4680 system.
