According to Xiaomi, a police station of a branch of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau conducted a criminal crackdown on a target processing and two supporting warehouses in Baiyun District, Guangzhou on the afternoon of July 13. During this crackdown, the police seized a large number of Bluetooth headsets with counterfeit Redmi trademarks, totaling 2,032.

At present, four suspects have been detained and the case is under further investigation. Xiaomi said the sentencing standard for selling counterfeit and shoddy products is fixed-term imprisonment of not more than two years or criminal detention, or fixed-term imprisonment of not less than two years but not more than seven years. And Xiaomi reminded, don’t try the law for petty gain.

Judging from the pictures, the forged earphones in this place are Redmi Buds 3 Lite. It is worth mentioning that this product is not sold in China, and the corresponding product of Xiaomi in China should be the Redmi Buds 3 Youth Edition. Therefore, the gang may be selling it by promoting it as an overseas version.
