Xiaomi has started rolling out the July 2022 Android security patch update for its eligible devices. However, there are still some older devices that are yet to receive the June 2022 Android security update, including the Redmi 9 Prime in India.

Now in a recent development, Redmi 9 Prime has started receiving a new software update that comes with June 2022 security patch. The phone currently runs Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 and the latest patch improves the aspects of this smartphone with the latest software update.
According to the latest information, the users of the Redmi 9 Prime smartphone can identify the June 2022 security patch through the MIUI build version V12.5.5.0.RJCINXM. Furthermore, users will have to download a package a size of around 2.2 GB.
As per the changelog, this update mainly improves system security and stability to enhance the overall user experience. Also, it fixes various security and privacy-related issues and vulnerabilities in the Redmi 9 Prime.
