Xiaomi has already started delivering the monthly security patch to its eligible devices. Now, the company has begun rolling out April 2022 security patch to older Redmi 9 smartphone users. It is currently released in the Global market and is expected to reach more users in the coming days or weeks.
Going to the changelog, the April security update improves system security for a better users experience and fixes the bugs for improving the system performance of the device. besides these, the update doesn’t come with any noticeable changes and new features. Redmi 9 received the latest new Security Update in April 2022 with MIUI 12.5.5.0.RJCMIXM and users will have to download 2.2 GB of software package size. The update is currently rolled out for pilot testers only and is expected to release to the public soon.
