Launched back in March this year, Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold has only received a few software updates so far. And, it looks like it will continue to deliver the same performance as there is no Xiaomi MIUI 13 update for the device in the future.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold is the only foldable smartphone from the company. It is even the most expensive Xiaomi phone so far, still, it has the worst software side. According to xiaomiui, the device now lacks OTA update support.

This could be because of the fact that Mi Mix Fold isn’t eligible for Android 12 based MIUI 13 updates. Another reason could be Mi Mix Fold 2. Reportedly, the Mi Mix Fold 2 will release in June 2022, and to provide users a better experience, Mix Fold’s update may come out with Mix Fold 2.
Although there’s no solid proof to believe, we also cannot rule out the possibility of no updates in the future as the Mi Mix series already has a poor software history. If the information goes true and Xiaomi will not provide any update for Mix Fold, it will be very disappointing for those waiting for Mix Fold 2.
