Released back in August 2019, Redmi Note 8 series smartphones are still famous and are being loved by people in the markets. Redmi Note 8 came pre-installed with Android 9 OS and is currently running on the Android 11 version.
In a recent development, the Chinese tech giant is proving MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi Note 8 users. At the moment, the firmware is only accessible for Global ROM users, whereas, the Indian users should wait for a few days/weeks to experience this MIUI version.

To be mentioned, the changelog for the update doesn’t mention anything aside from system performance optimization and system security and stability enhancement.
We already know what MIUI 12.5 carries with it. First of all, it makes a device lighter, faster, and durable when compared to the previous version. The new setting page has a dedicated wallpaper and personalization page that brings all the customization options in a single place.
There are Always On Display settings, a new lock screen layout with different formats, icons that now have support for third-party apps, and more. Apart from the wallpaper page, the MIUI 12.5 has a new-looking volume panel. The camera application has now cards like UI, which shows the additional features visually.
It further improves privacy, allows you to make PDFs by the gallery itself, gives you more filters for picture and video editing, the updated notes app offers new drawing tools, and many more.
