After a bunch of leaks and rumors, today, Xiaomi officially launched its second-generation Redmi Gaming laptop dubbed Redmi G 2021. The laptop goes official in China only.
Moreover, the laptop comes in two variants Intel and AMD. Both of them offer a 144Hz display, up to 16GB of RAM, and support independent display direct connection, up to RTX 3060.

Display:
The Redmi G 2021 gaming laptops display a 16.1-inch screen that offers up to a 144Hz refresh rate.
Processor:
The Intel variant is equipped with an 11th generation Intel Core i5-11260H processor, which is followed by 16 GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Whereas, the AMD edition is powered by the Ryzen 7 5800 processor and 16 GB of RAM. It also offers 512 GB of storage.
Software:
When talking about their software, both devices come with Windows 10. However, they are expected to receive the Windows 11 update soon.
Battery:
The Redmi G 2021 intel variant features a 180W power adapter. On the other hand, the AMD model comes with a 230W power adapter.
Hurricane Heat Dissipation 3.0:
As teased earlier, the product features a Hurricane Heat Dissipation 3.0 system that offers dual fans and four outlets for expelling heat. The heat dissipation system of the AMD variant also features copper heat pipes.
Other Features:
These two devices come with the support for Wi-Fi 6, DTX: X Ultra Sound, full-sized backlit keyboard, Xiao AI smart assistant, Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, and support for Xiaomi game box.
Price and Availability
Redmi G 2021 AMD:
This variant costs 6,999 yuan ($1,081). Currently, it is up for bookings in China through Xiaomi Mall and will go on sale from September 28.
Redmi G 2021 intel:
This model is priced at 5,699 yuan ($880). Its booking has been also started in China through Xiaomi Mall. It will go on sale earlier than the AMD version, September 23.
