Xiaomi is expanding the August 2021 Android security update for Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones in Indonesia, Europe, and Russia. The following are the updated versions.
- Indonesia: V12.5.3.0.RGGIDXM
- Europe: V12.5.3.0.RGGEUXM
- Russia: V12.5.2.0.RGGRUXM

Later in the last month, Xiaomi has begun rolling out the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones in India, after the global release in July this year. Meanwhile, the device is now receiving a new software update.
The fresh firmware that holds the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 build version V12.5.2.0.RGGCNXM mainly installs the August 2021 Android security patch for better system security and stability. It will also prevent your phone from bugs and viruses.

Aside from the security patch, it changelog doesn’t mention any new features or major changes. To experience the enhanced security, you will have to download and install a heavy package of 2.4GB on your respective Redmi Note 8 Pro.
To be mentioned, the firmware is currently only rolling out in China. However, the company does not take a long time to make a global debut, thus, we expect that the August patch for the phone will soon reach other countries.
