Today, Xiaomi officially announced the latest firmware update for its new FlipBuds Pro. The company reveals that the TWS earbuds get the support for Qualcomm’s high-end audio technology, Snapdragon Sound.
Most importantly, this new update made FlipBuds Pro the first in the world to feature the Snapdragon sound. This firmware can be identified via the build version 7.6.2.9.

Moreover, the official post further shows some of the key changes that are arriving at the earbuds. According to them, the earbuds receive three major features, which include a high-definition audio transmission that can reach 48kHz to up to 96kHz.
The calling capabilities have also been improved with ultra-clear calls through 16kHz to 32kHz. The final major upgrade is to the latency, with the device now offering an ultra-low latency of just 89ms. This will be valuable for people that use wireless earphones while playing games on their smartphones.
Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound:
Qualcomm released the Snapdragon Sound audio technology in March 2021. It arrives as an upgrade to the chipmaker’s existing aptX adaptive codec and offers a stronger anti-interference and lower delays that are consistent with LDAC and LHDC. This technology even helps boost active noise cancellation performance and calling as well.
Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro:
The ANC earbuds are powered by Qualcomm’s QCC5151 ultra-low power audio chip. The company promises 28 hours of battery life in total with the case and up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge.
It supports Bluetooth 5.2, Xiaomi claims that low-latency activities like gaming shouldn’t be an issue on its new earbuds. In addition, Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro comes with a Dual Device Intelligent Connection, which allows you to switch between your smartphone and your laptop.
You can also connect two pairs of these earbuds to a single smartphone or laptop to share the audio output between two people. Moreover, the buds have a high-gloss all-black body that gets a mirror finish and it’s the only color available, at least for now.
