Xiaomi will release WeChat payment function for Mi Band 6 by the end of 2021

This week, Xiaomi hold an online event, which aimed to answer the questions of Xiaomi fans. Along with Xiaomi’s head, the general manager of Xiaomi’s wearable department, deputy general manager of the wearable department, a senior test engineer in the wearable department, a business person in the wearable department, other important faces of the group were also present in the live event.

These members answered Mi Fan’s questions about Xiaomi’s smart wearable devices. The tech giant officially summarized some internal testing of the exchange meeting today.

According to the officials, the WeChat payment function of Xiaomi Mi Band 6 has been tested and is expected to be supported by the end of the year. If you don’t know, the Mi Band 6 currently supports Alipay payment.

As per the officials, the new device has a PPG heart rate sensor, an Sp02 sensor, a 3-axis accelerometer, and a 3-axis gyroscope sensor. In terms of fitness, the Mi Band 6 features a customizable function module, 30 fitness modes.

Also, it is equipped with 6 automatic fitness tracking, 5ATM of water resistance, sleep tracking, stress monitoring, female health tracking, and idle alerts. Unlike most smartwatches, the Mi Band 6 can easily last more than a week on a single charge.

Adding to this, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 is compatible with both iOS and Android devices using either the Mi Wear app or the Mi Fit app. It’s also compatible with the Strava app for those who frequently use that service.
