Redmi officially hints the arrival of new tablet, alleged to be Mi Pad 5

Going by the latest information, recently, Redmi officially shared a post on Weibo using an unknown Xiaomi product. As usual, several viewers have started speculating the device, some said that it might be a new smartphone.

In reply to this, the official said that this is not the case. It suggests that it is an upcoming Xiaomi tablet. However, the name of the tablet hasn’t been teased, we believe that it is Mi Pad 5, which is in rumors for a long.

Moreover, the official Weibi handler who shared the post using an unidentified Xiaomi device is the Chinese tech giant’s director of product Wang Teng.

Among all the current trending topics of Xiaomi, Mi Pad 5 is the one. It’s been a long when we have started hearing about the device. Still, there’s no confirmation on its launch date.

Previously, some reports said that it will be launched in August alongside Mi Mix 4 and MIUI 13 while others say that only Mi Mix 4 and MIUI 13 will be released in August and Mi Pad will be introduced later.

Recently, the upcoming product has been spotted at China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) database. It means that the day of the launch of Mi Pad 5 isn’t too far, we’ll soon be introduced to it.

The MIIT report further reveals that the device with model number M2105K81C will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. Also, the Mi Pad 5 will support 5G networking.

Besides MIIT, the other models that we have previously learned about are K81A and K82, which are said to come equipped with Snapdragon 860 and Snapdragon 888. However, some reports also state that all the models in this series will come with the Snapdragon 870 SoC.

It should also be mentioned that the blogger, who shared the MIIT report alleges that the product will arrive in two variants, namely a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 along with a lower-end version that will reportedly feature a Snapdragon 860 SoC.
