Xiaomi improves Mi Music app via the latest MIUI 12.5 beta update

Xiaomi has begun sending a new MIUI 12.5 beta update for its Mi and Redmi smartphones in China. The new update which can be identified via two build versions 21.7.7 and 21.7.8 comes with only a few changes.

As per the changelog, it adds the ability to report the source of exceptions such as crashes in the Mi Music app. Also, it fixes the crash caused by the conflict between the song MV codec and the system.

Other than this, due to the crash of Mi 10, WeChat is being repaired, the release is suspended today and is expected to be released before 24:00 tomorrow (July 8, 2021).

XIAOMI MIUI 12.5 RELEASE STATUS:

Following China in March, Xiaomi has started to roll out the stable MIUI 12.5 update for its eligible smartphones worldwide. In the beginning, the company has only sent updates to new smartphones that run Android 11 OS.

Recently, the OEM has begun sending updates to older smartphones that run Android 10 such as Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 Lite, Mi Max 3, and Redmi 7.
