Xiaomi improves security and stability of Mi A2 via new firmware update

Back in July 2018, Xiaomi Mi A2 stepped into the smartphone market with a pre-installed Android 8 (Oreo) operating system. Since then, the device received several major updates and it now running on an Android 10 based MIUI 11 operating system.

As per the officials, it is not eligible to receive an Android 11 update. While recently, the smartphone has received an official LineageOS 18.1 build on top of Android 11. These builds will give the taste of Android 11 to Xiaomi Mi A2 phone users.

Besides, right now, the device is getting a new software update globally. The new firmware optimizes the system performance as well as improved the system security and stability for a better user experience.

It can be identified via the Android 10 based MIUI 11 version V11.0.27.0.QDIMIXM. And, users can download and install the package of 1.7GB on their smartphones to experience it.

How to Check for Update:

To manually download this update via mobile Settings – open Settings > click on Software update > tap on Check for updates option > (if an update is available) click on Download and install > after installation, restart the device.
