Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is official with Dimensity 1100 chip, 5000mAh battery, JBL dual speakers

This afternoon, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has officially launched its Redmi Note 10 lineup in China. The series includes two smartphones – Redmi Note 10 5G and Note 10 Pro 5G. However, the base model is the same as the Note 10 5G that was launched globally in March.

But when we talk about Note 10 Pro 5G, it is somewhat different from the older models. As the company previously teased, it packs a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 16370mm² VC liquid cooling, and Dimensity 1100 chip.

Specifications:

Display – 

The Note 10 Pro displays a 6.6-inch (2400×1080 pixels) Full HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display further supports 240Hz touch sampling rate and Adaptive sync variable refresh rate to switch between 120Hz, 90Hz, 60Hz, 50Hz, 48Hz, and 24Hz depending on the content. Also, it has 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Processor – 

It uses the latest Dimensity 1100 processor, 6nm process technology, ARM Cortex-A78 CPU architecture, and nine-core Mali-G77 GPU architecture, with UFS 3.1 flash memory.

Software – 

The phone runs the newest MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 OS out of the box.

Battery – 

It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and a battery health management system. the company claims that it can be charged fully within 42 minutes. The device ships with a Xiaomi Mi 67W charger, which supports both USB PD (Power Delivery) and Qualcomm QC (Quick Charge).

Camera – 

For photography and videography, the phone has 64MP wide,  8MP 120° ultra-wide, and 2MP macro cameras on the back. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter.

Storage – 

It has 6GB/8GB RAM in addition to 128GB internal storage, 8GB RAM in addition to 256GB internal storage.

Audio – 

The phone features Hi-Res-certified JBL-branded dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, 3 microphones, as well an X-axis linear vibration motor.

Connectivity – 

As for connectivity, the smartphone supports dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC 3.0, and GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GALILEO, GLONASS, QZSS).

Adding to this, it sports all the essential ports and sensors, such as USB Type-C, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, 360° ambient light sensor, gyroscope, ultrasonic proximity sensor, compass, and infrared sensor.

Unfortunately, the Note 10 Pro 5G lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack and MicroSD card slot.

Availability:

The Redmi Note10 Pro 5G comes in three color variants, such as – Phantom Blue, Moon, and Star Sand. The first two color variants (Blue, White) feature a ‘3D stereoscopic texture’, similar to Xiaomi Mi 11 Lei Jun Signature Edition. Whereas, the third one (Back) has shining particles that mimic starry night.

Price:

  • 6GB + 128GB – ¥1,499 ($234)
  • 8GB + 128GB – ¥1,799 ($281)
  • 8GB + 256GB – ¥1,999 ($313)

This price will be only valid during the phone’s first sale on June 1. Redmi is yet to reveal the original price of this smartphone.
