Now, going by the new information, this time Google will bring a new auto-rotate feature that works with the front camera. It is said that Google is working to solve a long-standing screen rotation problem that has bothered users.

The upcoming Android 12 may have the ability to detect the direction of the face to automatically rotate the screen. Although, it is said that feature may only be available for Google Pixel phones in the beginning and it will be expanded for other OEMs later.

Currently, the phone uses the gravity sensor to automatically adjust the screen to facilitate automatic rotation. But this auto-rotate function becomes very inconvenient while using the phone on the bed.

Beside this, when you play games and stream videos with applications that only support horizontal screens, the device occasionally fails and the screen will rotate 180-degree sometimes. In this situation, users need to manually turn off the automatic screen rotation function.

Therefore, it is expected that this function may be implemented using the front camera of the smartphone. Furthermore, it is not an official confirmation because Google is yet to announce the Android 12 and its features.
