Xiaomi is rolling out a new software update for Mi 9 smartphones in Europe too. This newest update comes with January 2021 Android security patch to enhance system security.
It comes with the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.4.0.QFAEUXM and to experience this update, Mi 9 users will have to download and install the package of 2.5GB.

After sending January 2021 Android security patch for several Redmi, Mi, and Poco smartphones, the Chinese OEM is now sending it to Xiaomi Mi 9 handsets. Currently, the update is only accessible for global users while it will be sent in more regions in the coming days.
The Mi 9 comes with a slightly high price-tag. But considering the features of the device, it has a wonderful camera, 3,300mAh battery backup, and an amazing display that will let the user enjoy videos and games.
It comes pre-installed with Android 9 Pie, later received an Android 10 based MIUI 12 update. The new update for this phone is also based on Android 10 but as it is currently in stable beta testing for Android 11, therefore, it will soon receive an Android 11 update.
