In August 2020. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi added a new smartphone in its Redmi 9 series – Redmi 9 Prime. The smartphones come with 6.53 inches IPS LCD display, a 5020 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, 8MP selfie camera. and many more.
Its quad rear camera setup includes a 13MP wide camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. It comes with Android 10 based MIUI 11 later received MIUI 12 updates. Also, it is powered by Mediatek Helio G80 SoC.
For now, this device is receiving a new software update in India. The update enhances the system security by installing the December 2020 Android security patch on the device. It further brings some fixes as well as new functions and optimizations in the Control center.
