Earlier last week, Xiaomi officially unveiled its MIUI 12.5. The new custom skin brings several new features, functions, changes, and improvements. The company is now sending a new MIUI 12.5 beta update in China which carries version 20.12.30.

The changelog for this update mentions improvement in some Camera features – It brings a new document mode. The new document mode has been upgraded to a real-time detection version of document boundaries, which can make PPT and continuous shooting of documents more convenient.

Some devices – Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi 9 Lite / Mi CC9, Mi CC9 Meitu Edition, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G / Mi 10i / Mi 10T Lite, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 9 4G / Redmi 9T / Redmi 9 Power will start to release MIUI 12.5 in mid-to-late January 2021 due to the major Android update.
Also, some apps of the MIUI system are decoupled in order to improve the user experience. You can upgrade these apps in the app store, which is part of the MIUI system.
