With the new center, Amazon’s computing, storage, databases, and other services are closer to population and IT centers, and it can increase bandwidth for services such as streaming video.
The new center describes its deployment of infrastructure as ” local zones “, which can support real-time gaming, media and entertainment content production, and engineering simulations.
Totalplay, the telecommunications company owned by Mexico’s third-richest man Ricardo Salinas, will provide consulting on AWS cloud services, and the two parties will join forces to expand their business in the Mexican cloud market.
The Mexican cloud market will be worth about $1.4 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow to $2.7 billion by 2025. Mexico is the fourth largest cloud computing market in the Americas, after the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
