Amazon has now launched the 16GB version of the Kindle Paperwhite 5. The advertising version is priced at $149.99, and the ad-free version is priced at $169.99, compared to the previous release.

At the end of September last year, Amazon released a new Kindle Paperwhite e-book product. This is the first time launching an updated Kindle Paperwhite model in the past three years.
It is equipped with a larger 6.8-inch E-Ink display. Compared with the previous generation brighter, with adjustable color temperature, a faster processor, faster page-turning, and USB-C charging for longer battery life.
The current-gen Kindle Paperwhite still has a $140 starting price for a model with 8GB of storage. But you can also opt to pay $10 more for a 16GB model if you want more room for your eBooks, audiobooks, and other content.
However, it has a resolution of 300 PPI (up from 167ppi) for a better reading experience. There is a four-LED set up in the front, which can be adjusted depending on the required amount of light. Dimension-wise, the new Kindle model is slightly smaller than the Paperwhite version measuring 157.8 x 108.6 x 8.0mm and weighing 158 grams.
