Google began to add the “Privacy Screen” function to the Google App on Apple’s iOS. Users can set the App to go through face authentication or fingerprint recognition before opening the App. Recently, Google added similar new features to the Chrome browser on Android.

According to a report by 9to5Google, on the Chrome browser on the Android side, Google has added the ability to lock incognito tabs. When a user opens incognito tabs and quits Chrome, Chrome locks those incognito tabs. If users want to reopen these incognito tabs, they need to pass fingerprint identification or password authentication.
Below the unlock incognito tab, there is an option to open other tabs, which means that this feature can effectively protect personal privacy without delaying the normal use of the browser . It is reported that Google Chrome browser has not officially launched this function yet, but users can turn on this function in advance by visiting the “chrome://flags/#incognito-reauthentication-for-android” page.
If users want to turn off this feature, they can turn it off in Settings – Security & Privacy – Lock Incognito tab. On the iOS side, this function is already available in apps such as Google Drive, Search, Fi, Chrome, and Authenticator.
