Recently, Redmi announced in India that it will release the entry-level model Redmi A1 on September 6. Redmi officially stated that the phone is made in India.
As can be seen from the Redmi official poster, the Redmi A1 will have three colors, black, green, and blue. The device adopts a water drop screen design, the volume key, and power button are located on the right side of the fuselage, and on the left side of the fuselage is the SIM card slot.

At the same time, the Redmi A1 is provided with a rear dual camera, and the image module is a rounded rectangle, which is similar to the previous Xiaomi 11 series. The Redmi A1 has previously appeared on Geekbench 5 and passed the FCC certification.
The device will be equipped with the MediaTek Helio A22 chip, provided with 3GB of running memory, and run the MIUI system based on Android 12. At the same time, the Redmi A1 is 164.67mm long and 76.56mm wide and supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections.
According to Twitter user @Yogesh Brar, the Redmi A1 will be priced at no more than 10,000 Indian rupees. They are an 8-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel sub-camera. In terms of battery life, the device has a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 10W wired charging.
However, the user said that the Redmi A1 uses 2GB+32GB storage specifications, which is inconsistent with the previous information. The MediaTek Helio A22 chip was released in July 2018. The chip is based on TSMC’s 12nm process, uses a 4-core design, and has a maximum frequency of 2.0GHz.
