While the Facebook Gaming app will be pulled from the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store, it’s not the end of Facebook Gaming. The Facebook Gaming team states: “Despite this announcement, our mission to connect players, fans, and creators with the games they love has not changed, and when users access Gaming in the Facebook app, they can still find games, streamers, and groups.”

Meta did not provide any reason for closing the Facebook Gaming app, but following the in-app announcement is a link to the gaming section of the Facebook app. Meta has been busy recently improving the Facebook app experience and increasing engagement, testing new features to improve the user experience, and introducing new ways for content creators to make money. The Facebook Gaming team’s message also included a link that would allow users to download their gaming app search data.
