Redmi will release the K50 e-sports version next month. The device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 flagship processor. In addition to the e-sports version of the K50, the Redmi K50 series also has new members.
On January 21st, blogger Digital Chat Station broke the news that there is a version of the Redmi K50 series equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor, which is released later than the Redmi K50 e-sports version.

It is reported that the Dimensity 8000 is MediaTek’s sub-flagship chip, and its positioning is second only to the Dimensity 9000. This chip is based on TSMC’s 5nm process. It consists of 4 Cortex A78 large cores and 4 Cortex A55 small cores. The CPU frequency is up to 2.75GHz, and the GPU is Mali-G510 MC6.
More importantly, the comprehensive AnTuTu score of the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 reached 750,000 points, while the AnTuTu comprehensive score of the Snapdragon 870 was around 700,000 points.
From this point of view, the overall performance of the Dimensity 8000 version of the Redmi K50 surpasses that of the Snapdragon 870. In addition, the Dimensity 8000 version of the Redmi K50 series is expected to use a hole-punch screen solution, made of OLED, and continue the side fingerprint solution on the Redmi K40. The price is expected to be between 2000-2500 yuan (USD 315- 394).
