MIUI 12.5 Enhanced is currently the latest Android-based custom skin offering by Xiaomi. However, at this time Xiaomi fans and users have started looking forward to the upcoming MIUI 13 skin, which is expected to be introduced on December 16.
Ahead of its launch, the OEM is testing the new version in its latest high-end smartphones. Also, some features and applications of MIUI 13 are testing through MIUI 12.5 beta builds or application firmware.
In a recent development, Xiaomi has switched the MIUI 12.5 logo to the building logo, reported by xiaomiui. The change that took place with the latest MIUI 12.5 beta version 21.11.30, clearly means that MIUI 12.5 is done and MIUI 13 is coming soon.

Previously, Xiaomi has tested several features and applications on MIUI 13 by proving new updates. One such change is the new launcher animation. The new animation appears when the launcher does not load your icons. This succeeds the former way where apps started popping up one by one and the launcher stopped for a bit after a restart.
So far, we have also observed that MIUI 13 will provide new folder icons to MIUI File Manager, a new simpler and simpler design to Mi Home. In addition, Xiaomi has replaced the icon in the Sync with Mi Account section in the MIUI Gallery with a new one. The colors seem simple and more care has been taken when compared to the old design.
