New Xiaomi smartphone with Snapdragon 870 SoC, 5000mAh battery is on its way

Earlier this month, Xiaomi introduced Redmi K40 and Mi 10S smartphones in China. These are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. Now it looks like the company is planning to introduce more phones featuring the same chipset.

Recently, a famous tipster named Bald Panda has revealed the key specifications of this upcoming device. According to him, the new Snapdragon 870 will use a 1080p + resolution Huaxing Optoelectronics curved screen, front punch, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Aside from the display, he said that the phone will come with a built-in 5000mAh battery that supports a 67W fast-charge technology, a 20MP front lens, and a 108MP rear main camera. There seems to be a 3x telephoto lens.

To be mentioned, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC was foundry by TSMC, using a 7nm process and a 1+3+4 cluster. Its super-large core frequency can reach 3.2GHz, the large core frequency is 2.42GHz, and the small core frequency is 1.8GHz. 

This chip has a built-in Adreno 650 GPU, which is the same as the Snapdragon 865 Plus.

Well, at this moment, there’s no information about the name of the device. If you don’t know, Xiaomi is currently planning to introduce the Redmi K50 series, Mi 12 series, and others. Maybe, the upper mentioned phone is one of them.

However, none of these upcoming phones have been tipped or been spotted with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. More information may arrive soon. Till then, stay tuned with us.
