As per the reports, the logo was first used in the 5000th Mi Home Store, which was inaugurated in April in China.

Besides, we are already familiar with the company’s new visual ID, the new logo isn’t much different from the old one. This time, Xiaomi has gone with rounded corners, which look like icon packs. So you now have a squircle in place of the old square logo.

Well, the new logo is designed by Kenya Hara, a professor of Musashino Art University and the President of the Nippon Design Center (NDC), and was released by Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi.

Xiaomi stated that under the “Alive” design concept, the new Xiaomi logo with the beauty of “super-ellipse” mathematics is no longer limited to one corner of the screen as if it has life.

The company also says that it will not change the color of the logo, which means, it will continue to use orange as its corporate color. But this not the case with all products, for high-end devices, Xiaomi will be using Black and Silver variants of the logo as supplemental colors.
