EA brings new game anti-cheat technology EAAC
Game publisher EA is tracking cheaters in games through a new anti-cheat solution developed in-house by its engineers. The anti-cheat technology is called EA AntiCheat (EAAC), officially known as “Kernel Mode Anti-Cheat and Anti-Tamper Solution”.

EA said in an official blog post that EAAC will have a “high focus on privacy and security” and that it will shut down all processes when a protected game is not running. EAAC can also be uninstalled manually at any time, but games that require this feature will not work.
As for why it chose to develop an entirely new anti-cheat software in-house rather than leverage one of the many existing products, EA said the third-party solution lacked privacy controls, accuracy, granularity, and the ability to quickly take security measures.
Moreover, EAAC will be available for the first time in FIFA 23 on PC starting this fall to protect PC and console players as cross-platform play opens the door for cheaters.
