“We increasingly want to make India one of the largest exporters of software intellectual property … to capitalize on the success here and make it applicable to many other parts of the world as well.” Smith also highlighted the opportunities India has for its population.

According to him, while the working-age population in Europe, Japan, South Korea, and North America is declining, the working-age population in India is increasing. “In India, the working-age population is still growing. This reflects that India is a country where half of the population is 25 years old or younger. Between now and 2050, India’s population will continue to grow.”

With this growth and India’s human, and technological capabilities and knowledge, Smith believes that India can provide the world with the help it needs to ensure economic growth, especially when it comes to technological contributions.
